Our topic for October was Autumn and food. We learned lots about Autumn and enjoyed going on an Autumn Trail. We then sorted our leaves into a colour pictogram. In Aistaer, we printed an Autumn tree, made leaf people, leaf rubbings and played with squirrel and hedgehog puppets in our very own Autumn environment. We also loved playing in the cafe, made soup in the water tray and buns in the sand tray. We read the story 'The enormous turnip' and then acted it out. We then used the characters from the story and an "enormous" turnip to reenact the story!

Thanks to the mums and dads who came in on Wednesday for 'Maths for Fun.' We really enjoyed playing lots of maths games with you all!
For the month of September our topic was 'You and Me.' We had lots of fun learning all about ourselves, our families and our friends. We found out lots of different things about our bodies and discovered things that we can do now that we couldn't do when we were a baby. We love learning through play and this month we even learned some keywords while playing twister! In Aistear, "Baby Bella" came to stay in our home corner and we enjoyed making 'New Baby' cards. Some of the favourite Aistear activities were- bathing babies, playing in the opticians, baking birthday cakes in the sand, painting babies, making faces using lots of different items, exploring our senses and practising our keywords in baby powder!
